On behalf of our international client, a well-established engineering organisation active in large-scale water and wastewater infrastructure projects, we are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their team in Dublin, Ireland.
The role involves leading multi-disciplinary engineering projects from design through to construction, commissioning and handover, within a collaborative, one-team working environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the delivery of one or more water and wastewater infrastructure projects, managing program, budget, procurement, cashflow, and commercial aspects.
- Coordinating Civil, Building, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (MEICA) engineering activities and ensuring high-quality project execution.
- Ensuring Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability (HSQE) standards are met, promoting a positive safety culture, and carrying out site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
- Acting as PSCS on site and coordinating PSDP activities, maintaining up-to-date documentation and compliance.
- Collaborating closely with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure smooth project delivery and a positive client experience.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing project teams, supporting recruitment, resource planning, and professional development.
- Supporting tendering and continuous improvement initiatives, providing lessons learned, innovative solutions, and best practices.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar Project Management role, ideally within the water or wastewater sector.
- Strong experience managing Civil and MEICA engineering works, including treatment plants, mechanical systems and electrical installations.
- Proven ability to deliver complex projects under pressure, on time and within budget.
- Experience engaging with clients, suppliers and subcontractors, including financial negotiations and final accounts.
- Good working knowledge of program management software (e.g. Microsoft Project), including baseline program and updates.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and proactively.
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
- Strong communication skills and high level of motivation.
- Full driving licence.
