On behalf of our international client, a leading engineering organisation delivering large-scale water and wastewater infrastructure projects, we are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their team in Dublin, Ireland.
This role involves contributing to the electrical design, construction, and commissioning of multi-disciplinary water and wastewater projects, working closely with Mechanical, Civil, and Structural teams.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Produce electrical detailed design submissions and construction documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams, acting as a liaison between Electrical, Mechanical and Civil/Structural disciplines.
- Prepare Method Statements, Risk Assessments, permits and other Health & Safety documentation.
- Develop scope documents, tender packages and review subcontractor tenders and pricing.
- Produce key electrical deliverables including Single Line Diagrams, Cable Schedules, Motor & Instrumentation Schedules and P&IDs.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors, managing procurement, purchase orders and sub-contract agreements.
- Manage site activities, ensuring works are delivered in line with design documentation, quality standards and program.
- Carry out quality checks and support commissioning activities, including documentation and supervision.
- Coordinate project close-out and handover to the end user.
What We’re Looking For
- University Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline (AEI / Polytechnic degree or equivalent).
- 3+ years of experience, preferably within the water and wastewater sector.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent planning, organisational, teamwork, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant IT tools.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Full clean driving licence.
