On behalf of our international client, a leading engineering organisation delivering large-scale water and wastewater infrastructure projects, we are seeking a Lead Electrical Design Engineer to join their team in Dublin, Ireland.
This role involves leading and delivering electrical design across water and wastewater treatment projects, working within multi-disciplinary teams from concept through to construction and commissioning.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and deliver electrical design for water and wastewater treatment plants across all project stages.
- Produce electrical design deliverables, including specifications, calculations, and construction drawings.
- Participate in site surveys, feasibility studies, optioneering and tender support.
- Coordinate with mechanical, civil and structural design teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Manage and review third-party electrical designs and support installation and commissioning teams.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, environmental and sustainability standards.
- Monitor design progress, quality, programme and resource allocation.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring and support to junior engineers.
- Liaise with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Significant experience in electrical design for water and wastewater or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, design coordination and project delivery.
- Proven ability to lead design activities and mentor engineering teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
- Willingness to travel within Ireland and the UK when required.
