On behalf of our international client, a leading engineering organisation delivering large-scale water and wastewater infrastructure projects, we are seeking a MEICA Project Engineer to join their team in Dublin, Ireland.
This role involves supporting the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects across Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (MEICA) scopes, within a collaborative, one-team environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver multiple projects concurrently as part of a collaborative “one team” environment.
- Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability (HSQE) standards, procedures and statutory requirements.
- Support day-to-day site operations, providing cover for the Project Manager when required.
- Monitor program, budgets and progress, identifying and addressing risks or overruns.
- Prepare and manage Method Statements, Risk Assessments and quality documentation.
- Oversee quality delivery including FAT, SAT, inspections, testing, commissioning and project handover documentation.
- Ensure all design, materials and workmanship meet project specifications and Employer’s Requirements.
- Manage procurement activities, liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, consultants and site teams.
- Chair regular site meetings and coordinate safe, efficient delivery of works.
- Support mentoring and development of junior staff, while maintaining continuous professional development (CPD).
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the water and wastewater sector.
- Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Chemical or Environmental Engineering
- Interest in developing a career within a leading engineering organisation.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to project delivery.
- Experience engaging with suppliers and subcontractors during procurement and delivery.
- Strong initiative, problem-solving skills, and adaptability to project challenges.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of GPS, total station, and CAD.
- Strong communication skills, self-motivated, and proactive.
- Full driving licence.
